Detective Tom Black's wife presents him with an ultimatum. She wants another child, but Tom thinks one is enough, especially since that one is in rehab.

Inevitably, Tom finds himself out of the house and moving back in with his mother. His life goes into a tailspin as his biggest challenge soon becomes waking up in the morning. He juggles alimony and rehab payments while his job goes south, courtesy of his corrupt partner, yet somehow he manages to find a measure of humor and redemption in what is left of his mixed-up life. A strong comic story about one man losing control of everything on his way to find the key to his front door.
