Traveling from the backwoods to Los Angeles to visit his cousin, a writer discovers a world of sex, drugs, crime and violence revolving around a beautiful young woman and her mobster boyfriend.

William McNamara stars as Sonny Daye, a fledgling writer, in this drama about the inner workings of the Hollywood studio system. Sonny has caught the attention of a ruthless and manipulative producer with ties to the mob, Sid (Danza), who wants nothing more than to milk Sonny's talent for all its worth.

However, a tentative romance is brewing between Sid's girlfriend, Vanessa (Wagner) and Sonny which would be sure to provoke Sid's wrath. With the help of his brother Frankie, Sonny sets out to win over Vanessa without driving Sid to

murder.
